Kate Ferlic’s client Don Moya sues Albuquerque Public Schools

Kate Ferlic filed a whistleblower lawsuit on behalf of Don Moya, Albuquerque Public Schools Chief Financial Officer, against Superintendent Luis Valentino, New Mexico Secretary of Education Hanna Skandera and the APS Board of Education. The suit claims Moya was placed on administrative leave because he “was insufficiently supportive” of Gov. Susana Martinez’s “political agenda.” Moya’s attorney, Kate Ferlic, said the suit claims violation of the New Mexico Whistleblower Protection Act and civil conspiracy.
